I have never been one for the kitchen, especially since moving to NYC where apartment living and kitchens can be a little cramped. Recently I started looking at what I was feeding my 2 girls (Madeline, 3, and Pela, 1 1/2) and it was no wonder why they wouldn’t eat. Their meals were mainly pancakes for breakfast, turkey and cheese roll ups for lunch, frozen mac and cheese for dinner, some fruit and way too many fruit snacks. I decided that is was time to start cooking and find recipes my kids will enjoy. Both of my girls enjoy being in the kitchen so I have been trying to include them in the meal planning process by helping choose menus and prepare the meals. I will share recipes that my two girls have enjoyed, recipes that I have found easy for them to make on their own, kid-friendly restaurants, stories from the kitchen, arts and crafts incorporating food for a rainy day, as well as utensils and tools I have found useful for the kitchen. I hope you enjoy.
